Visa Process and Bhutan Tariff (International Tourist)

Visa Application Procedure

All tourists must obtain a visa clearance prior to travel to Bhutan and therefore requires it to be processed by a tour operator, which we competently do it.   Visas are processed through an online system and following are the steps to avail a visa.

  1. Prior visa application
    • Mail us your quarry, doubts and your requirements (goldenvalleybhutan@gmail.com)
    • Decide and mail us your tour details, itinerary and dates
  2. Applying visa
    • We will send you a Visa form which you need to fill it and send back
    • Along with the visa form you need to mail us your color photo-page of your Passport (must have 6 months validity)
    • We will apply for visa with Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB)
    • You will have to wire transfer the full tour payment in TCB bank account
  3. Post visa application
    • We will send you the confirmed air tickets
    • Within 72 hours TCB will issue visa clearance
    • Get ready for your travel to Bhutan

At the time of entry to Bhutan in the Paro International Airport, you will be required to show you visa clearance letter, the visa will then be stamped into you passport.

The minimum daily package cover the following services

  • A minimum of 3 star accommodation (4 and 5 star may require an additional premium)
  • all meals
  • A licensed professional Bhutanese tour guide till you entire stay
  • all internal transport facilities (excluding domestic flights)
  • Camping equipments and haulage for trekking tours

It also includes the following:

  • all internal taxes and chrages
  • A sustainable tourism royalty of USD $65. This royalty goes towards free education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, along with the building of infrastructure

The minimum daily package for tourist traveling in a group of 3 persons or more is as follows:

  • January, February ; June, July ; August and December – USD $200 per person per night
  • March, April, May ; September, October and November – USD $ 250 per person per night

Surcharges

Tourists traveling in a group of two (2) persons or less shall be subject to a surcharge, in addition to the minimum daily package rates.

These are as follows:

  • Single individual – US$ 40 per night
  • Group of 2 persons only – US$ 30 per person per night

The 10% agency commission payable to agents abroad shall not be deductible from the surcharge.

The surcharge will not be applicable to representatives of foreign travel agents on business study or promotional visit duly approved and cleared by TCB.
